Dashboard Definitions and Acronyms

  • WYDOT—Wyoming Department of Transportation
  • ITP—Integrated Transportation Plan
  • ACS—American Community Survey (annual estimates of the US Census Bureau)
  • START—Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit
  • TTB—Travel and Tourism Board (of Teton County, Wyoming)
  • BEA—US Bureau of Economic Analysis (job estimates include all full and part-time jobs, including self-employment)
  • JTC—Jackson/Teton County
  • Protected (Housing)—A housing unit with a deed restriction, ground lease, regulatory restriction, or other mechanism permanently protecting it as affordable and/or workforce housing.
  • QCEW—Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages
  • LEHD—Longitudinal Employment Housing Dataset
  • LAUS—Local Area Unemployment Statistics
  • MFI—Median Family Income. Median Family Income is reported instead of Median Household Income (which is the same as median income generally) because the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) uses MFI to set income limits. The US Census defines a family as a household of related individuals; it does not include single-person households or households of unrelated roommates.
  • HNA—Housing Needs Assessment
  • JHWF—Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation
  • Complete Neighborhood—A Character District that provides: defined character and high-quality design; access to public utilities such as water, sewer, and storm sewer; quality public spaces; a variety of housing types; schools, childcare, commercial, recreation, and other amenities within walking distance (1/4 to ½ mile) of residences; and, connection by complete streets that are safe for all modes of travel.
