County Wireless Communications Facilities Update

In response to the Federal Communication Commission's Declaratory Ruling and Third Report and Order of September 27, 2018, Teton County is considering changes to the Land Development Regulations (LDRs). The FCC's ruling is intended to speed the deployment of small wireless facilities and limit local control over these facilities. Planning Staff has prepared a proposed LDR text amendment to comply with the FCC's rules for application processing and fees and to implement design standards for small wireless facilities on private property. The proposed design standards closely follow the standards that Teton County has already adopted pertaining to poles and small wireless facilities in public rights-of-way. The proposal also includes clarification and cleanup of existing standards for non-small wireless communications facilities.

This amendment was approved by the Teton County Board of County Commissioners on October 20, 2020.
